Alpro expands its offering with Traditional Almond and chooses Lecce-style iced coffee to showcase its positioning. The new product is designed to replace traditional almond syrup with a smooth, plant-based option featuring notes of marzipan.

The recipe uses almonds sourced from the Mediterranean, including Italian ones, and was developed based on local consumption habits. The launch reflects the evolution of coffee culture, which is increasingly open to customizable recipes, plant-based drinks, and consumption beyond the confines of traditional espresso. Cold brew coffee thus becomes a meeting point between local tradition and new eating styles.

Nutritionally, Alpro Traditional Almond is enriched with vitamins D2, E and B12, calcium and iodine and is offered with a low fat and sugar content.

"We wanted to start from a familiar and beloved flavor, exploring a nuance of sweet and enveloping almond," explains Lucia Chevallard, marketing director of Danone Italy and Greece.
