Milan becomes Diageo's new operational hub in Italy. The British group, a world leader in the premium alcoholic beverages sector, has appointed Caoimhe McCabe as Managing Director, marking a strategic step to leverage one of Europe's markets with the highest growth potential. Italy has become an "end-to-end" country in the European operating model, aiming to double its business by 2030.

An Irish professional with over ten years of experience within the group, McCabe previously led revenue and category management strategies for the Irish market. "I will bring to Italy my global experience and a keen focus on new consumer trends," he commented, "to consolidate the growth of our iconic brands and contribute to the development of the sector."

Along with the appointment, Diageo will relocate its headquarters from Turin to Milan, where it will invest in communications, a sales network, and local talent. The group's portfolio includes brands such as Johnnie Walker, Tanqueray, Don Julio, Baileys, and Guinness. The company also reaffirms its commitment to sustainability with the "Society 2030: Spirit of Progress" plan, aligned with the UN goals.
