Fabbri 1905, a historic Bolognese company led by five generations of the founding family, has announced the appointment of Enrico Amesso as General Manager, effective January 2026. Born in Bologna in 1976, Amesso takes over the operational reins from Michele Magli, CEO, who will continue to support him in defining long-term growth and development strategies, with a view to strengthening governance and further consolidating the brand internationally. Amesso's appointment marks a phase of evolution for the company, which has been active for 121 years in the ingredients and specialties for gelato, pastry, and beverages, with a strong presence in B2B channels and a growing presence in international markets.

The new General Manager has over twenty years of experience in senior sales and marketing roles, gained in B2C and B2B environments characterized by strong brand iconicity and a strong international focus, including Indesit Company, Piaggio, Carpigiani, and Celli. His experience at Carpigiani, a company specializing in the production of artisanal Italian gelato, soft serve, and American-style ice cream machines, supporting artisan gelato shops and large international QSR chains, is particularly significant. Amesso joined Carpigiani in 2010 with responsibility for the Italian market, subsequently overseeing its global growth, ultimately becoming Global Sales Director.

He subsequently held this position at Celli, further developing his skills in managing complex distribution networks, developing strategic partnerships, and building business models geared toward creating value throughout the supply chain. Amesso holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bologna and completed his education with numerous specialized management programs focused on sales fundamentals, personal effectiveness, and negotiation skills. In 2012, he also participated in the Executive MBA Alumni Advanced Program in Business Administration at ALMA Graduate School in Bologna, further strengthening his leadership and strategic vision.

"We are particularly pleased to welcome Enrico Amesso," commented Michele Magli, "to a company that, for a Bolognese, is much more than just a place where something truly good is produced well: it is a place that defines the city and its residents. We are confident that, thanks to his experience, he will make a significant contribution to the development of our company, while also representing a catalyst for further growth for the projects already underway."

For his part, Amesso emphasizes the symbolic and entrepreneurial dimension of his new role: "I join Fabbri with all the pride and sense of responsibility of someone who grew up seeing in Fabbri a shining example of exemplary and courageous entrepreneurship. I am committed to leveraging existing resources and contributing to new, cutting-edge projects with the long-term vision that this 121-year-old company deserves and continues to pursue." This appointment therefore marks a strategic shift aimed at integrating continuity and renewal, strengthening our presence in international markets, product innovation, and the brand's premium positioning, in a competitive environment that requires industrial vision, execution capabilities, and a strong brand culture.
