Ferrero is strengthening its industrial presence in France with a new €60 million investment plan, announced at the Choose France international summit, an event sponsored by the French government to attract foreign investment. The confectionery group thus confirms a long-term development strategy that has already led to total investments of €210 million in the country over the past five years.

The new program specifically concerns the Villers-Écalles plant in Normandy and the Nieppe production site in Hauts-de-France, controlled by Biscuits Delacre, a Ferrero affiliate. The goal is to support the growth of industrial operations and support the launch of new Nutella-branded products.

Present in France for over sixty years, Ferrero considers the French market a strategic cornerstone of its European development. Investments made since 2021 have focused on modernizing production facilities, strengthening logistics, and improving the environmental performance of its infrastructure.

Projects already completed include €15 million to modernize the Villers-Écalles plant, which produces approximately 26% of the world's Nutella, and another €15 million invested in a new packaging line for professional 3-kilogram formats.

A central role in the new plan is assigned to the Nieppe plant, where Ferrero will invest approximately €30 million to produce the new Nutella Cookies. The project involves the installation of a production line unique in Europe, designed to support the brand's growth through product innovation. The initiative represents a new step in the group's industrial strategy, which aims to expand production capacity and strengthen the competitiveness of its brands in the European market.

In recent years, Ferrero has also completed the construction of the new logistics hubs in Cléon and Barentin, announced during the 2025 edition of Choose France, further consolidating its distribution network in the country. Today, Ferrero directly employs approximately 1.400 people in France and generates a total of 11.300 jobs across direct, indirect, and induced employment.

"France has been central to Ferrero's industrial and logistics strategy in Europe for many years," said Mauro De Felip, General Manager of Ferrero France. "The investments announced today confirm our commitment to pursuing concrete and sustainable development in the region, strengthening production capacity, supporting brand innovation, and contributing to the economic growth of the regions where we operate."
