Orogel Fresco consolidates its growth trajectory and relaunches its production, closing out 2025 with increasing results and a strengthened agricultural base. The Orogel Group cooperative is attending the 46th edition of Macfrut with growing numbers and a strategy increasingly focused on enhancing the supply chain. The event, scheduled for April 21-23 at the Rimini Expo Centre, represents one of the main international hubs for the fruit and vegetable sector, a market worth approximately €19 billion in Italy. Against this backdrop, Orogel Fresco reports a positive balance, despite challenges related to volatile demand and the structural issue of generational turnover in agriculture.
In 2025, sales reached €45 million, an 8% increase, driven by higher value-added products. At the same time, the membership base is strengthening: 65 new members have joined in the last five years, helping to increase cultivated areas to 1.500 hectares, a 30% increase. This figure signals a countertrend to the progressive reduction in agricultural land seen nationwide.
According to General Manager Vincenzo Finelli, the cooperative's role has evolved: today, it's no longer just about ensuring fair selling prices, but also about supporting farmers in protecting their production and ensuring income stability. In a context of compressed margins, the organizational size becomes a competitive factor, especially for accessing varietal innovations and increasingly selective production techniques. Supply chain innovation is a key aspect of the cooperative's presence at Macfrut. Among the highlighted projects is one on soil regeneration, an agronomic approach that aims to improve soil fertility and health through the use of natural biostimulants, with direct effects on crop yields and quality.
On the product front, the spotlight is on the Dulcis Kiwi, already a leading player in international markets, including Dubai, and now ready to support higher volumes to meet growing demand. The "Le Meraviglie" project also continues, a premium line that showcases fruit selected and harvested at the perfect level of ripeness, packaged directly in the field to preserve its freshness and organoleptic characteristics. Completing the offering, the Opera La Pera brand strengthens the market positioning of Italian pears, focusing on an integrated supply chain that combines production, distribution, and commercialization. With over 500 members and more than 32 tons of fruit and vegetables produced annually, Orogel Fresco thus confirms a strategy based on quality, sustainability, and direct support for farmers, in a competitive environment that requires scale, innovation, and market presence.
