Carlsberg Group is renewing its leadership in Europe with two key appointments effective January 1, 2026. Alius Antulis will assume the role of Managing Director of Carlsberg Italy, while Olivier Dubost will become President and CEO of Brasseries Kronenbourg, the group's flagship French brewery.
For Carlsberg Italy—currently the third-largest national producer with over 1,1 million hectoliters annually—Antulis's arrival represents a step in strategic continuity. The new Managing Director will be responsible for consolidating the company's presence in the Italian market and accelerating its growth through a diverse brand portfolio, product innovation, and a sustainability-focused business model.
"Joining Carlsberg Italia is a great honor: here we have deep roots, such as the Angelo Poretti Brewery, and a strong international vocation," said Antulis. "The goal is to continue along the path we've already embarked on, combining economic growth, care for people, and commitment to the planet."
Antulis, who has been with Carlsberg for fourteen years, brings extensive international experience. After leading sales in Bulgaria until 2021, he served as Managing Director of Carlsberg Azerbaijan, where he distinguished himself with his commercial results and organizational development skills.
Antulis will succeed Olivier Dubost, Managing Director of Carlsberg Italy, in July 2022. During his tenure, Dubost strengthened the company's competitive positioning through a more aggressive commercial strategy, investments in Birrificio Angelo Poretti, and the development of an increasingly comprehensive brand portfolio. Under his leadership, several products have been awarded "Product of the Year" for two consecutive years.
Dubost also introduced in 2024 the Growth Culture, an approach that has revitalized corporate culture by focusing on people, well-being, and individual responsibility. This framework has become a cornerstone for the organization, helping to strengthen engagement and performance.
