Plant-based proteins continue to gain ground on modern retail shelves, pushing food companies to innovate their ready-made sauces. This is the backdrop for the new offering from Le Conserve della Nonna, a Fini Group brand, which will be launching its new 100% natural Vegetable Ragùs starting April 2026.

The new product line includes two products—Lentil Ragù and Bean Ragù—both available in 300-gram glass jars. These products are designed to meet the growing demand for simple, minimally processed plant-based protein options, increasingly sought after by consumers who value natural ingredients and transparent labeling.

Unlike many other products on the market, often formulated to mimic the texture and appearance of ground meat, the Modena-based company's new ragùs take a different approach: highlighting legumes as the main ingredient, without resorting to soy or textured vegetable proteins. The recipes use real, whole legumes, with a short ingredient list and no artificial flavorings.

The production approach therefore focuses on simplicity and the recognizability of the raw ingredients. The result is a vegetable ragù with a rich flavor and rustic texture that isn't meant to replicate meat, but rather offers an authentic alternative, reminiscent of home-made preparation and Italian culinary tradition.

With this range expansion, Le Conserve della Nonna strengthens its presence in the ready-made sauces category, offering a product consistent with the brand's historic values: natural ingredients, traditional recipes, and a focus on quality. At the same time, the company demonstrates its ability to adapt to new consumer trends, increasingly oriented toward plant-based and less processed foods.

The launch of the new Vegetable Ragùs is therefore part of an innovation strategy that keeps Italian gastronomic tradition at its core, reinterpreting it in a contemporary way and in line with new nutritional needs.

Le Conserve della Nonna is part of the Fini SpA Group, a historic Modena-based food company now controlled by Carisma Holding. The FINI brand is one of the most recognized names in fresh pasta in Emilia, and over a century after the original delicatessen was founded in 1912, the group has become a modern industrial operator with over 100 employees and exports to approximately 30 countries.

Within the company's portfolio, Le Conserve della Nonna offers a wide range of purees, sauces, condiments, and jams inspired by Italian regional traditions and made using production methods that combine traditional processes with industrial standards of quality and food safety.
