Lidl is strengthening its presence in Campania with the opening of a new store in Brusciano, in the province of Naples. The supermarket, inaugurated this morning in the presence of Mayor Giacomo Romano, marks the brand's twelfth store in the province and the 39th in the entire region, confirming the German group's strategic focus on Southern Italy.
The new facility is located on Via Pimentel Fonseca, at the corner of Via Padula, and has created 15 new jobs. This investment combines commercial development with employment benefits for the local community, contributing to the strengthening of the local distribution network.
The store boasts a sales area of over 1.400 square meters and was built according to highly sustainable criteria. The building is certified A4 energy class and is powered exclusively by energy from renewable sources.
Among the solutions adopted is a 142 kWp photovoltaic system, while the LED lighting system integrated with natural light reduces energy consumption by up to 50% compared to traditional technologies. The project also included improvements to the surrounding road system to improve traffic flow and facilitate access to the facility.
Customers have access to a car park with over 90 spaces, including a charging station for electric vehicles with two dedicated stalls.
From a commercial standpoint, the new supermarket offers a selection geared toward everyday shopping, with a focus on fresh produce. Departments include fruit and vegetables delivered daily, bread and baked goods, as well as a deli area with ready-made meals.
Personal, household, and pet care products round out the offering. The Lidl Plus app also supports the shopping experience, providing access to dedicated promotions, digital flyers, and the Lidl Points program, a loyalty program offering over 250 coupons and discount vouchers.
The Brusciano opening is part of Lidl Italy's broader growth strategy. Present in the country since 1992, the chain now has approximately 800 stores supplied by 12 logistics platforms and employs over 23.000 people. Its product range includes more than 3.500 items, approximately 80% of which are produced in Italy and sold under its own brand, with the goal of ensuring quality and convenience for consumers.
