Madama Oliva is strengthening its internationalization process and relaunching its export strategy by focusing on a structured presence at major global food trade fairs, confirming the increasingly central role of foreign markets in its development model.
In 2025, the Abruzzo-based company, specializing in the processing of table olives and vegetable specialties, recorded a 6,4% increase in foreign turnover compared to the previous year, reaching 29 million euros and consolidating a now stable international expansion trajectory.
This achievement is part of a broader effort to strengthen the brand's positioning on global markets, and will see a new phase of acceleration in 2026 thanks to a packed calendar of trade fairs, strategic levers for attracting new customers and consolidating existing business relationships.
After participating in Marca in Bologna and Gulfood in Dubai, among the main international platforms for the agri-food business, Madama Oliva recently also took part in Foodex Japan, one of the reference events for the Asian market.
The Japanese experience is particularly encouraging, as Marketing Director Sabrina Mancini emphasizes, highlighting the growing interest in the new products presented, including the pasta sauce line and the olives in 140- and 160-gram tubs. These products meet a demand increasingly focused on authenticity, convenience, and quality.
The Asian market, in particular, continues to be sensitive to the value of Made in Italy products and the offering of condiments and vegetable specialties that combine tradition and innovation, opening up prospects for further development for the company's product portfolio.
The trade fair program will continue in the coming months with strategic stops such as FHA in Singapore, Tuttofood in Milan, PLMA and SIAL in Paris, events that represent key hubs for international networking and the analysis of emerging trends in the food sector.
Trade fairs are proving to be key tools not only for commercial promotion but also for gathering direct feedback from buyers and distributors, an increasingly important factor in a global market characterized by rapidly changing consumption and food preferences.
Over the course of 2025, thanks also to these activities, Madama Oliva expanded its geographical presence by entering new markets such as Mexico, Colombia, and Australia, further strengthening its international presence.
Today, exports represent a significant component of the overall turnover of the company, founded in 1989 in Carsoli, which boasts over 500 products and 20 production lines, with a capacity of approximately 22 million packages per year distributed in 45 countries.
Among the most important markets are the United States, Canada, South Korea, Japan, and Northern Europe, areas united by a growing focus on the healthy food segment, a field in which Madama Oliva is positioned as one of the main Italian players.
To support international growth, the company has also invested in strengthening the agricultural supply chain, with two production hubs located in Sicily and Larissa, Greece, in the main olive growing areas.
These partnerships allow for greater control over the quality of raw materials, ensuring continuity of supply while also promoting certified products, including PDO products, which are increasingly in demand on foreign markets.
In a competitive global context, Madama Oliva thus confirms a strategy based on supply chain integration, product innovation, and direct market presence, with the aim of consolidating the role of Made in Italy in the plant-based specialties segment and further strengthening its international presence.
