LIPTON Teas and Infusions has announced the appointment of Marc Busain as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2025. At the same time, current CEO Pierre Laubies will return to the Supervisory Board, a role he had previously held until 2023.
Busain, a Belgian national, thus leaves after more than thirty years of a successful career in Heineken, where since 2015 he held the role of President Americas and a member of the global Executive Team. He joined the group in 1995 in the Finance division, and since 2003 has held general management roles in Burundi, Egypt, France, and Mexico, leading profound transformations and consolidating results.
Under his leadership, the Americas region doubled revenue, operating profit, and net profit, with Mexico and Brazil becoming key profitability drivers. Busain played a key role in the acquisition of Brazil Kirin and its integration, transforming Brazil into the largest market for Heineken® and Amstel. He also led innovations in supply chain, revenue management, and AI-based sales tools, with a strong push for premiumization and expansion of Heineken® 0.0.
