Oropan focuses on well-being and expands its Forte range with three new protein breads designed to meet the growing demand for functional foods. The Altamura-based company launches the Protein+ line, which combines high protein and fiber content with the distinctive characteristics of its production, based on re-milled durum wheat semolina and sourdough starter.
The introduction of the new range fits into a market where consumers are increasingly interested in products that combine taste, nutritional value, and convenience, especially among those who practice sports or follow a wellness-oriented lifestyle.
The Protein+ line is the result of research and development aimed at increasing protein content through the use of select ingredients, without altering the texture, flavor, or identity of the bread. All products are made with the same recipe as the Forte line, based on re-milled durum wheat semolina and sourdough starter.
The new offer includes three variants. The first is Protein+ Soy and Chia Seeds, enriched with soy flour and chia seeds, which offers a high content of fiber and omega 3. The second is Protein+ Pea and Lentils, a completely plant-based offering that uses pea protein and lentil flour, aimed particularly at vegetarian and vegan consumers. It completes the range Protein+ with re-milled semolina from selected durum wheat, developed with high-quality proteins obtained from selected wheat to reinterpret traditional bread from a nutritional perspective.
All products are sold in 250-gram packages, pre-sliced, with a suggested retail price of €2,39. The goal is to dominate the packaged fresh bread segment with a product that combines tradition, functionality, and convenience.
With this new product, Oropan further expands the Forte brand portfolio, strengthening its position in the value-added baked goods sector and responding to new trends in demand.
