Pedon continues its sustainability journey and publishes the new 2024-2025 edition of the "Nel Bene e nel Buono" Report, a document that summarizes the evolution of the Veneto-based company's environmental, social, and governance activities, confirming a structured and voluntary approach based on measurement, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Annual reporting is a key tool not only for ensuring transparency for stakeholders but also for guiding strategic decisions, in a context where sustainability is increasingly integrated into industrial models and the dynamics of the agri-food supply chain.

For Pedon, a leading provider of legume, grain, and seed-based solutions, sustainability means combining product quality, respect for the environment, and the creation of shared value, translating these principles into concrete actions along the entire production chain. "We are guided by our mission to make choosing a balanced and environmentally friendly diet simple and delicious," explains CEO Remo Pedon, emphasizing how the title of the report captures the goal of operating responsibly and offering nutritious and accessible products.

This approach is also shared by CCO Loris Pedon, who highlights the role of innovation, simplicity, and transparency in encouraging informed consumer choices, thanks to clear labels, select ingredients, and convenient formats. The document addresses numerous social and educational projects, starting with the "Traveling with Pedon" initiative, aimed at primary schools and focused on promoting a sustainable food culture through educational and interactive activities.

Over the past three years, the project has involved over 5 students, with a very high level of satisfaction, confirming the growing focus on nutrition and balanced lifestyles. This is complemented by the digital section "Good to Know," which offers informative content on the nutritional benefits of legumes, grains, and seeds, helping to promote more informed consumption through insights and practical suggestions. The report also highlights initiatives for employees, including training programs, meetings with a nutrition biologist, and activities aimed at organizational well-being, such as the company restaurant and the intercompany tournament, designed to promote team building.

On the environmental front, Pedon is strengthening its monitoring of energy and water consumption, as well as scope 1 and 2 emissions, complementing these activities with circular economy projects, such as the reuse of legume waste through "Carta Crush." Particular attention is also paid to product life cycle analysis, with an LCA study comparing the soup from the I Pronti line with other market categories, providing useful information for assessing environmental impact throughout the entire production cycle.

The document also explores the responsible management of raw materials, the evolution of industrial processes, energy efficiency, and strategies for reducing packaging—key elements for a more sustainable supply chain. Through the Report, the company highlights the key milestones of the journey undertaken over the last three years, outlining a long-term trajectory aimed at creating value for all stakeholders.

Continuity in reporting is a key element in consolidating a development model in which sustainability becomes an integrated and measurable process, capable of impacting operational and strategic decisions. Founded over forty years ago and headquartered in Colceresa, Pedon now has more than 280 employees and collaborates with major large-scale retail chains, developing both its own brand and private label products.

In 2024-2025, the group reported a turnover of €110 million, with a significant share generated in international markets, confirming a growing export focus and an internationalization strategy with a particular focus on North America. With over 2.100 products annually, the company continues to invest in product innovation, reinterpreting the legume and grain category with practical solutions geared towards new consumption styles. Among the key lines are "I Pronti," dedicated to ready-to-eat products, and "I Legumi Fatti a Snack," which offers an alternative and healthy approach to legume consumption.
