Starbucks is strengthening its presence in Venice with the opening of a new store in the shopping arcade of the Santa Lucia train station, one of the main gateways to the lagoon city.

The store, opened in partnership with Percassi, the brand's exclusive licensee for the Italian market, is the result of a collaboration with Grandi Stazioni Retail and represents the brand's second opening in Venice, following the one opened in 2024 in the Rialto area.

With the new location, Starbucks reaches 53 stores in Italy and consolidates its positioning in the travel channel, targeting the public of commuters, tourists, and travelers who pass through one of the busiest and most strategic railway hubs in the country every day.

The store occupies a surface area of 52 square meters and was designed according to a format oriented towards rapid service and takeaway consumption, without seating, in order to adapt to the needs and times of those passing through the station.

The offering includes the brand's main coffee-based beverages and other products, housed in a compact space that also features several paintings dedicated to the world of coffee, displayed in the windows to evoke the culture of the raw material.

"Venice is a city with strong international appeal, and we are particularly proud to strengthen our presence in this unique location," said Vincenzo Catrambone, general manager of Starbucks Italy, emphasizing the central role of the Santa Lucia station in the city's mobility.

According to Catrambone, the opening allows the brand to get even closer to customers and offer its experience in a context visited by millions of people every year, continuing, together with Percassi, its investments in strategic locations.

The Santa Lucia store is also the seventh Starbucks store in the Grandi Stazioni Retail network, a fact that confirms the brand's growing interest in railway spaces and locations characterized by high and diversified traffic flows.

"We are proud to welcome Starbucks to Venice Santa Lucia," said Alessio Streccioni, chief commercial officer of Grandi Stazioni Retail, who said the move confirms the ability of large stations to transform into retail hubs for residents, commuters, and tourists.

The new opening expands the offerings of the Venice airport's shopping mall and strengthens Starbucks' development strategy in Italy, with a particular focus on high-traffic urban destinations and key transportation hubs.
