Surgital continues its sustainability journey, publishing its new Sustainability Dossier for the 2025 financial year. This document captures the company's environmental, social, and governance achievements. Prepared according to the voluntary VSME framework promoted by EFRAG, the dossier highlights the progress made in energy resource management, human capital development, supply chain engagement, and community initiatives.

One of the most significant figures concerns energy self-sufficiency. In 2025, energy production from photovoltaic systems exceeded 4,2 million kWh, a 70% increase over the previous year. Thanks to the integration of photovoltaic, cogeneration, and trigeneration, Surgital now covers over 89% of its electricity needs through self-generation systems.

The company has also launched a project to recover energy from food waste, which, over the course of the year, has produced over 104 cubic meters of methane and more than 420 kWh of energy, further strengthening its circular economy model.

In terms of waste management, the recovery rate reached 99,9%, confirming the company's commitment to reducing waste and maximizing resource efficiency.

The dossier also devotes considerable attention to people. By 2025, the workforce had grown to 373, while 2.660 hours of training were provided, focusing on safety, compliance, and skills development. The two-year plan exceeded the 4.100 hours of training planned, and corporate welfare programs achieved a 97% compliance rate, a sign of strong employee engagement.

Strengthening sustainability throughout the supply chain is also one of the strategic objectives. During 2025, Surgital engaged 250 suppliers in an ESG data collection exercise, resulting in 55 completed questionnaires to deepen dialogue with partners and foster greater integration of sustainability criteria throughout the supply chain.

The chapter dedicated to social commitment is also important. Thanks to the collaboration with the Fondazione Banco Alimentare Emilia-Romagna, 16,8 tons of food products were donated in 2025, bringing the total donations made between 2021 and 2025 to over 180 tons.

With the publication of its new Sustainability Dossier, Surgital confirms its commitment to consolidating its ESG monitoring system, developing increasingly effective indicators, and increasingly integrating sustainability principles into corporate strategies, aiming to combine economic growth, social responsibility, and environmental protection.
