Surgital consolidates its leading position in the frozen fresh pasta market and looks to the future with a new €7 million business plan for 2026. The Lavezzola-based company, controlled by the Bacchini family, closed 2025 with positive results and is now announcing a strategy focused on innovation, internationalization, and expanding its offering.
The group closed 2025 with consolidated revenues of €126 million and an EBITDA of €19,8 million, representing 15,4% of revenues. These figures confirm the solidity of the business model developed over forty years of operation and the company's ability to maintain steady growth even in an international context characterized by geopolitical tensions and market volatility.
Exports make a significant contribution, accounting for 46% of total revenue. Surgital currently operates in 65 countries, with the United States remaining its largest foreign market, accounting for approximately 15% of sales. Although fluctuations in the euro-dollar exchange rate have impacted overseas sales, the company has maintained a competitive position thanks to its strong brand and geographic diversification.
Furthermore, 4 million euros were invested during 2025 in modernizing production facilities and optimizing industrial processes, with the aim of increasing efficiency and quality.
The company plans to further strengthen its investments in 2026. The business plan allocates €7 million to technological innovation, digitalization, and automation of production lines in accordance with Industry 5.0 principles. This move aims to improve the company's competitiveness and operational sustainability.
On the commercial front, consolidation will continue in the European and North American markets, thanks in part to the strengthening of the sales networks in strategic countries such as Germany and France. At the same time, Surgital is closely monitoring the opportunities offered by Latin America and Asian markets, while maintaining a cautious approach due to international geopolitical uncertainties.
"Our development strategy continues to focus on Europe and North America," explained Massimiliano Bacchini, Chief Sales and Commercial Officer and member of the Board of Directors, emphasizing how the company remains confident in its growth and innovation path despite the challenging global economic climate.
Among the main innovations for 2026 is the entry into the bakery segment. Presented at TuttoFood Milano 2026, Pastificio Bacchini's new Bakery Line expands the product portfolio with pancakes and crêpes for professional catering.
The goal is to capture new consumer trends, such as the growing popularity of snacks and the increase in eating out. According to the company, the new products maintain the same philosophy that has made Surgital a benchmark in the industry: high-quality products, convenient to use, and capable of ensuring effective food cost control.
Founded in 1980, Surgital is now led by the second generation of the Bacchini family. The Board of Directors includes Romana Tamburini, President, Edoardo Bacchini, CEO, Massimiliano Bacchini, Elena Bacchini, and Enrica Bacchini, demonstrating a family-run management team that continues to focus on innovation and international development.
