Royal A-ware and Grupo TGT have announced a merger agreement aimed at creating an even more competitive player in the international cheese market. The agreement, reached between the shareholders of the two family-owned companies, will allow them to combine their expertise, production capacity, and sales networks to expand their presence, especially in Southern Europe.

The transaction involves the integration of Grupo TGT into Royal A-ware, while maintaining the Spanish company as an independent organization. The Iberian group is a leading cheese producer and distributor in Spain and Portugal and has a widespread distribution network, a factor that will allow Royal A-ware to further consolidate its presence in Southern European markets.

For Grupo TGT, the agreement will offer access to Royal A-ware's international production capacity, its innovation expertise and an integrated supply chain, with the aim of supporting future growth and expanding the offering for customers.

The two companies emphasize their shared entrepreneurial culture, founded on family management, a long-term vision, and a focus on product quality, innovation, and building lasting relationships with farmers, customers, and business partners.

Jan Anker, shareholder of Royal A-ware, highlighted how Grupo TGT has built a leading position in the Spanish and Portuguese cheese markets. According to Anker, sharing the same entrepreneurial mindset and focus on long-term relationships will enable the company to seize new development opportunities and offer customers an even broader range of dairy products.

Teodoro Garcia, shareholder of Grupo TGT, agreed, calling the merger "a natural step" in the company's growth path. Garcia emphasized that Royal A-ware is the ideal partner thanks to shared values and the Dutch group's strong international presence.

The Garcia family will also continue to play an active role in the new group's development, both operationally and financially, confirming its commitment to ensuring continuity and stability for the industrial project.

This continuity is also a key aspect of the operation for employees, customers, and suppliers. Grupo TGT will continue to operate from Spain, preserving its organization, local roots, local expertise, and established commercial relationships.

The agreement remains subject to regulatory approval. Once approved, Teodoro Garcia will join Royal A-ware's Supervisory Board, and the group will be represented by three shareholder families united by a long-term commitment to the company's development. The transaction represents a further step in the consolidation of the European dairy sector and aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the two groups in an increasingly international market.
