Matilde and her husband opened their first shop in the garage of their house in viale Trento 33, a small space where the song tombola was conceived, a very popular and purchased game. After the first experiences, from 1957 to 1963, and given the success, the company moved to Recanati, but the family always remained tied to Pesaro where Matilde and Mario's children were born, namely Stefano, Patrizia, Pierpaolo and Giovanni.

Her career was characterized by a strong commitment to education and the creative development of children, helping make Clementoni an internationally recognized brand for the quality of its products. Under her leadership, the company innovated in the field of educational toys, focusing on values such as creativity and learning through play.
