The Agency for Agricultural Payments, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, is organizing a round table in Verona entitled “Wine and Territory, the cultural, economic and social impact of the wine sector on local development” where, together with the main trade associations, the impact of the wine sector on the phenomenon of wine tourism will be analyzed.

Agea, the Agency for agricultural disbursements, participates in the 56th edition of the Vinitaly, organized from 14 to 17 April at Veronafiere and promotes, in this context, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, a moment of reflection and analysis on the function of the wine sector as a lever for local development, at 360°. The appointment with the round table, entitled "Wine and Territory. The Cultural, Economic and Social Impact of the Wine Sector on Local Development”, is for Tuesday 16 April at 11pm in the institutional pavilion of the MASAF.

The meeting, which will bring together representatives of the main organizations representing the agricultural sector (Cia, Confagricoltura, Coldiretti CAA-Cafagri) and the wine sector (FederDOC and Confcooperative), intends to collect and analyze experiences, good practices, projects and interventions aimed at making wine, and the world that is connected to this food, an increasingly strategic lever for territorial valorization and a driving force for a new culture that can contribute to supporting local development, offering a new impetus to the sector not only on a national level but also with a broader vision.

The Agency therefore acts as a fundamental interlocutor in the coordination between the various Italian territorial realities as an instrumental body of MASAF: the involvement of the entire supply chain, from Territorial institutions Category associations, By farmers specialized figures it is in fact the first step to raise the levels of performance and therefore of production in the context of the current regulatory rules.

Important numbers are those that are announced two days after the opening of the Verona fair district: 65 countries will be protagonists of foreign demand that have been selected and invited, and to them will be added no less than 30 thousand foreign operators from over 140 nations. The comparison on the new economic, environmental and climatic challenges will be at the center of the numerous meetings and discussions between the participants and certainly, there will be no lack of focus on existing rules to address these challenges. Agea intends, in this international context, to highlight how fair production can also contribute to environmental respect by strengthening that "Made in Italy” of which the national day falls on April 15th, established on the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci.
