Aldi Süd has announced a major development for 2026: the opening of its first branch inside Frankfurt Central Station. The signing of the lease marks a new chapter in the retailer's strategy to offer a convenient and innovative shopping experience in one of the city's key mobility areas.
In collaboration with Deutsche Bahn, which is renovating the station's B-level to accommodate new retail outlets, Aldi Süd will open a store measuring around 760 square metres. The branch will offer fresh food, snacks on the go and will be equipped with self-scanning checkouts for quick purchases, available 365 days a year.
“It’s an ideal location, always busy and dynamic – exactly what we’re looking for,” said Frank Feldmann, Manager Real Estate at Aldi Süd, in a LinkedIn post announcing the project.
