Amadori takes a further step forward in its innovation and sustainability strategy, integrating the controlled supply chain also into its plant-based line. The “Veggy” range, already recognized as “Product of the Year 2024” in the “Vegetable Meat” category, is renewed with the exclusive use of vegetable proteins from legumes grown in Italy such as peas and cannellini beans. This choice strengthens Amadori's position as a leader in the protein sector, aligning itself with market trends oriented towards healthy and sustainable nutrition.
The “Veggy” line includes four references – “Le Birbe Veggy”, “Cotolette Veggy”, “Veggy Burger” and “Polpettine Veggy” – and stands out for the absence of added soy, thus responding to the needs of a public increasingly attentive to the quality of ingredients. The restyling of the packaging, which adopts shades of green to emphasize the naturalness of the product, is accompanied by a concrete commitment to environmental sustainability: the fresh range is packaged with up to 100% recycled plastic, with the aim of switching entirely to R-PET in the coming months.
“The integration of the plant-based supply chain is a natural evolution of our strategy” – says Matteo Conti, Central Director of Strategic Marketing at Amadori – “confirming us as The Italian Protein Company, committed to innovation and the valorization of raw materials.”
