In the session of Friday 5 July 2024, the Joint Commission of the Potato Exchange, with the participation of regional officials, established the reference price for potatoes intended for the market in the 2024/25 marketing campaign.
For top quality potatoes, certified Globalgap, with a size between 45 mm and 75 mm, delivered by producers to the “Conto deposito” as provided for by the Emilia-Romagna Framework Contract, the price was set at 50 cents per kg. This decision was taken after a detailed analysis of market trends and cultivation conditions at both national and European level, with the price set ex-farm and with packaging paid by the buyer.
