The Candy Factory Group, promoted by FVS and Clessidra Capital Credit, continues its consolidation strategy in the Italian confectionery sector. The group, formed in 2022 from the integration of Casa del Dolce and Liking and strengthened in 2024 with the addition of Akellas (Monk's candies), announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Italgum Caramelle Srl, a historic Piedmontese company specializing in gummy candies and jellies.

Founded in 1956 as Emolgum and operating from a modern 10.000 m2 facility in Villanova Monferrato (AL) since 2020, Italgum is now a national leader in gummies and jellies, including gluten-free, organic, and sugar-free options. The company stands out for its strong technical expertise and a consolidated presence in the private label sector of Italian large-scale retail trade.

The acquisition allows Candy Factory to strengthen its presence in the gummy/jelly segment and expand its production capacity in Northern Italy, where the Group currently has industrial platforms in Veneto, Lombardy, and Piedmont. This synergy aims to integrate expertise, category specialization, and production flexibility, with a clear goal: to create an Italian confectionery hub of excellence. The Group will close 2025 with a turnover of approximately €60 million, with over a third of its sales generated abroad.

"Welcoming Italgum means further enriching our industrial capabilities, thanks to a unique artisan tradition and strong expertise in jellies and private labels," stated Roberto Ippolito, President of Candy Factory and Managing Director of Clessidra. For Diego Tognetti, Group Vice President and General Manager of Investments at FVS, the operation "strengthens our industrial platform and integrates technical skills that fit perfectly with our SME aggregation model."

The Celoria family will remain a shareholder, and Dario Celoria will continue to lead the company as CEO: "Joining Candy Factory means being able to grow while preserving the identity built over decades of work. We share its vision and objectives and are ready to contribute to the Group's development." The transaction was supported by the Group's own resources. Candy Factory was assisted by NCTM for legal aspects and by Adacta Advisory for due diligence; the sellers were supported by Credit Data Research. With Casa del Dolce, Liking, Akellas, and now Italgum, Candy Factory is thus accelerating the construction of a national confectionery hub based on quality, innovation, and industrial continuity.
