Cesare Mazzetti has been elected as the new President of the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI for the three-year period 2025-2028. He succeeds Mariangela Grosoli, who will remain on the board as vice president together with Sabrina Federzoni. Mazzetti, already a prominent figure in the PDO and PGI sector, aims to strengthen the protection and promotion of the product, in an increasingly complex market context.
The new mandate confirms the continuity in the Consortium's strategies, with a management structure that combines experience and shared vision. Grosoli, at the helm of the Consortium for eight years, expressed satisfaction with the work done and the role he will continue to play. Federzoni underlined the importance of a stable path that is consistent with the history of the product.
The Board of Directors will also be composed of Camillo Cremonini, Giacomo Ponti, Claudio Stefani, Francesco Toschi and the new entries Massimo Malpighi and Francesco Milano. The members of the Board of Auditors have been reconfirmed.
The Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI sector involves over 2.400 agricultural companies and generates an annual production of approximately 100 million liters, with exports exceeding 90%, making it a leader among Italian geographical indications in the world.
