Half of the company's workforce is made up of women, restaurant managers are growing (45% of the total) as are those in managerial roles (increasing by almost 10% in 2023). These are some of the evidence from Cigierre, an Italian company that is a point of reference in directly managed and franchised casual dining, which are part of a concrete path now also certified by Bureau Veritas Italia based on the UNI/PdR125:2022 standard.
In particular, Cigierre has adopted a Gender Equality Management System aimed at achieving fundamental objectives shared at European level such as increasing women's participation in the labor market, reducing the gender pay and pension gap, promoting equality between men and women in the decision-making process, combating stereotypes, gender violence and supporting victims.
Cigierre – Compagnia Generale Ristorazione Spa was founded in 1995 in Udine with the aim of creating, experimenting and managing new restaurant formats. Today, almost 30 years later, it is number one in Italy in casual dining and in the development and management of themed restaurants with over 370 locations both in Italy and abroad. Cigierre Spa owns the Old Wild West, America Graffiti, Wiener Haus, Pizzikotto, Shi's and Smashie formats. Cigierre restaurants served over 2023 million customers in 30 alone.
