The Clai Cooperative has appointed Ernesto Panetta, 61, as the Group's Commercial Director. With a career in leading companies such as Barilla, Rana and Fiorucci, Panetta will lead the various commercial areas, from the sale of cured meats and meats in Italy and abroad, to retail with "Le Macellerie del Contadino". He will also manage the Clai, Zuarina and Faggiola brands, in addition to the B2B and Private Label business.
According to Stefano Giubertoni, Director of the Cooperative, this appointment and the creation of the Commercial Department are part of a strategic plan aimed at creating internal synergies and strengthening the presence on the market. The goal is a multi-channel strategy that supports customers in selling products, while the group explores new markets and businesses.
Clai, an agri-food cooperative with approximately 300 members and 700 employees, operates in the markets of fresh meat, cured meats, hams, Tuscan-Romagna cheeses and retail. With 5 production plants, the turnover for 2024 is estimated at 370 million euros.
