ALDI is consolidating its growth in Piedmont with the opening of a new store in Bra, in the province of Cuneo. The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, at Via Piumati 81/89. The 1.677-square-meter store offers customers 83 free parking spaces, three of which are reserved for people with disabilities.
The building is certified as energy class A4 and is the result of a major redevelopment project involving a former abandoned industrial area. The work also included the enhancement of public greenery and the conversion of a bocce court into a basketball and baskin court, accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Urban planning improvements have also been completed, including a new roundabout, pedestrian walkways, and children's play areas, as well as the planting of trees and the installation of benches and litter bins. The store focuses on sustainability with an 80 kW photovoltaic system and a 22 kW electric vehicle charging station.
The offering follows the "Spend less, live better" philosophy, with approximately 80% of the food products sourced from collaborations with Italian farmers. There are 130 fruit and vegetable products available and 30 brands in the selection. The opening in Bra brings the number of ALDI stores in Piedmont to 26, including four in the province of Cuneo. With 4 new hires, the chain now employs 13 people in the region.
