With more than 2.300 points of sale and an online network that covers 84% of households, Dia confirms itself as a key player in local food distribution in Spain. According to a study conducted by Kreab, in 2024 the group's activity generated an economic impact of 6.800 million euros, equivalent to 0,43% of the national GDP.
For every euro of direct activity, Dia generates 3,5 euros in the economy, involving more than 60 sectors thanks to its vast supply chain. In addition, 98% of the value produced is redistributed among the different economic actors. This model has led Dia to contribute 11% of gross added value and 5% of retail employment.
The company directly supports over 25.000 jobs, but its overall impact exceeds 100.000 employees. This is also possible thanks to the network of over 1.000 local entrepreneurs who manage 65% of the stores, often in rural areas where access to a complete diet is more difficult.
In 2024, Dia invested almost 3.200 million euros in local suppliers, activating more than 7.000 million along the value chain. Its presence is especially significant in regions such as Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura.
Finally, the company's tax contribution exceeded 1.900 million euros, equivalent to 1% of the State's revenue, underlining its strategic role in supporting the public system and strengthening the Spanish socioeconomic fabric.
