Danone has announced a $65 million investment to expand its Jacksonville, Florida, manufacturing facility to support growing demand for its International Delight, STōK Cold Brew and other coffee and cream brands. The 77-year-old facility officially reopened Tuesday after the expansion.
In parallel, the company will build a new regional distribution center in the Jacksonville area, to optimize logistics and ensure the freshness of products in the South-East of the United States. The entire operation will lead to the creation of approximately 200 new jobs, direct and indirect, for the benefit of the local community.
Danone continues to focus on the cold coffee segment, whose market is expected to grow from less than 500 million dollars in 2022 to over 3 billion by 2030. To capture this trend, the STōK brand has been expanded with new seasonal variants and a line of cold brew energy drinks.
The new plant includes cutting-edge bottle molding technologies, improving efficiency and sustainability: a 30% reduction in bottle losses and lower water consumption for the production of recyclable containers are expected.
“In a context of growth and innovation, we want to best serve our consumers and contribute to the economic development of the territory,” said Dan Magliocco, president of Danone North America.
