Kioene takes a new step in its internationalization journey and announces its official entry into the German market, one of the most important in Europe for the plant-based sector.
Sales started at the beginning of 2026 in large-scale retail trade, with an initial presence at Edeka in the North and Central-North of Germany, and in the signs family e Combi in the North-West of the country.
Germany represents a strategic market of primary importance: the value of plant-based gastronomy is approximately three times that of Italy and is historically characterized by a strong concentration of meat-like products. In this scenario, Kioene chooses a distinctive positioning, focusing on ready-made vegetable dishes in which vegetables are the protagonist, without simulating the taste of meat.
The debut takes place with the range Green Love, consisting of five high-protein products developed specifically for German consumers. The line reflects the company's expertise gained over thirty years in the world of plant-based proteins and responds to an increasingly growing demand for authentic plant-based solutions focused on well-being and naturalness.
The company's entry into the country is the result of a structured process, based on shelf testing and performance analysis, aimed at building a long-term sustainable project. This approach has allowed us to tap into potential demand that has not yet been fully addressed, at a time when the European vegetable sector is showing signs of maturity.
To support its development, Kioene has established a company in Germany, with a dedicated subsidiary led by a local General Manager, working closely with the Italian team. Production remains in Italy, while distribution is carried out through direct export, ensuring quality, supply chain control, and consistency with the brand's values.
The operation is part of a broader international strategy that sees the company already active abroad, particularly in Spain through a production partnership with Mercadona, and now focused on the structured and branded development of one of the most advanced plant-based markets in Europe.
