Dia is strengthening its presence in Andalusia with the construction of a new logistics center in Antequera, within the Puerto Seco district. This approximately €47 million investment, developed in partnership with IBA Capital and Dunas Capital, will expand the center. The facility, scheduled to open in the first half of 2027, will cover over 64.000 square meters, becoming the second largest in the Spanish network, and will create 200 jobs. The project is part of the 2025-29 strategic plan "Creciendo cada día" (Growing Every Day) and will replace the current Antequera warehouse with a next-generation facility, similar to those already in place in Toledo, Seville, and León. The facility will serve over 300 stores in Eastern Andalusia for fast-moving products and more than 500 regional stores for slow-moving products, improving operational efficiency and shortening supply times.

The center will be able to handle over 5.000 SKUs, move more than 300.000 crates daily, and store approximately 36.000 pallets. It will also be equipped with 127 loading and unloading bays, with an expected daily throughput of over 200 trucks, confirming its position as a key hub in Dia's logistics network in southern Italy. The platform will meet the company's new sustainability standards: BREEAM certification, solar panels, greenhouse gas-free refrigeration rooms, lithium-ion handling equipment, efficient ventilation systems, provision for electric charging of heavy vehicles, and a dedicated waste management area. These features align with the objectives of the 2024-25 Sustainability Plan.

For Dia, which generates over 5.000 jobs in Andalusia, operates more than 500 stores, and collaborates with 200 local suppliers, the new center represents a further step in its strategy of local proximity. The chain—which reaches 80% of the region's population through online channels and contributes 0,7% of the local GDP—aims to have a more agile logistics network capable of supporting future growth and improving customer service. "This opening strengthens our commitment to Andalusia," said Alejandra Fragoso, Dia's regional director for Eastern Andalusia, emphasizing how the new hub will allow it to respond more quickly and efficiently to consumer needs and market developments.
