Gruppo Felsineo strengthens its sustainability path and presents its sixth Sustainability Report, a document that captures the results achieved in 2025 and confirms the integration of ESG criteria into the company's strategy and throughout the entire production chain.
The historic Zola Predosa company, specializing in the production of mortadella and plant-based cold cuts through its benefit companies Felsineo and FelsineoVeg, posted a turnover of €57 million in 2025 and employed 155 people. The new report highlights the progress made in innovation, social responsibility, environmental protection, and employee development.
Among the document's key innovations is the voluntary adoption of the VSME standard for sustainability reporting, a move aimed at ensuring more transparent, rigorous, and structured communication. Another important step is the introduction of dual materiality analysis, which allows for the assessment of both the impacts of corporate activity on the environment and society, as well as the risks and opportunities that ESG factors can generate for the business.
The analysis allowed us to more precisely identify the Group's strategic priorities, helping to further integrate sustainability into decision-making processes and future planning.
Gruppo Felsineo's sustainable development model continues to be structured around four main pillars: Consumers' Path, Supply Chain Path, Locality Path, and Environment Path. These areas encompass initiatives focused on food quality and safety, supply chain innovation, worker protection, and support for local communities, as well as measures to reduce environmental impact.
"The annual report is a key opportunity to provide concrete evidence of the progress we've made and the areas where we're focusing our efforts to generate value," said CEO Emanuela Raimondi. "We continue to invest in a development model that combines financial strength and positive impact, fostering dialogue and partnerships with all stakeholders."
Particular attention is also paid to promoting healthy lifestyles through the Open Food Factory project, an initiative involving professionals and ambassadors to spread food culture and well-being. On the environmental front, the Report highlights the renewal of ISO 50001 certification and the launch of a research partnership focused on decarbonization, two steps that strengthen the path toward increasingly efficient resource management and reduced emissions.
The connection with the local community remains a defining element of the company's identity. It's no coincidence that the cover of the 2025 Annual Report features the winning design from the competition organized with the Zola Predosa Comprehensive School on the theme of sustainable lifestyles, demonstrating the Group's commitment to younger generations and the promotion of a culture of shared responsibility.
