Surgital takes a new step in its industrial evolution, reaching over 91% energy autonomy thanks to the integration of cogeneration, photovoltaics and predictive artificial intelligenceIt is the result of a process that began in 2008 with the aim of reducing consumption and making production increasingly efficient and independent.
Over the years the company has progressively strengthened its energy system, moving from the first cogeneration plant to the 2022 revamping in collaboration with CGT and Trigenia, until the activation in 2025 of a software capable of processing production and weather data in real time for adapt the system settings. “Intelligent” management that optimizes energy flows and limits waste.
The photovoltaic component, today composed of over 2,4 MW overall, covers the11,5% of electricity needs compared to 4,3% in 2023, making a concrete contribution to reducing environmental impact. The results of the new system will be monitored through objective indicators, providing an analytical basis for future decisions regarding efficiency and sustainability. Surgital thus continues a path that combines technological research and environmental responsibility, in line with the principles of theIndustry 5.0 and with the objectives of the2030 Agenda on clean energy, innovation, and responsible production. An evolving model that demonstrates how, even in the food sector, the energy transition can be addressed with technical rigor and project continuity.
