Epta, a leading company in the commercial refrigeration sector and recognised worldwide, presented its latest technologies and innovative solutions at Chillsale 2024, the leading international trade fair dedicated to refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps for commercial and industrial applications. During the event, Epta highlighted its wide range of integrated products and services, positioning itself as Fully Integrated Provider for operators in the sectors Retail, Food&Bev e Ho.Re.Ca., globally.
Epta's presence at the fair focused on a technological proposal called Total Solution, which meets the needs of any type of point of sale, anywhere in the world. This offer, which stands out for its integration between the different brands of the Group, is based 100% on the use of natural refrigerant fluids such as propane R290 andcarbon dioxide CO2. These refrigerants are an advanced response to the most recent regulations and the growing market demands for low environmental impact solutions. Epta, as Green Transition Enabler, has been able to anticipate trends and regulations, making its solutions compliant with the new European Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated gases.
Natural refrigeration represents one of the fundamental pillars of Epta's strategy, which has developed three key technologies to respond to this challenge: propane plug-in, Propane integral and Transcritical CO2 remote benches. These solutions, which use R290 propane and CO2, offer a sustainable alternative to HFC and HFO refrigerants, ensuring greater operational efficiency and a lower environmental impact. Propane plug-ins are ideal for small stores thanks to their ease of installation, not requiring a connection to a refrigeration plant. The Propane integral, with air or water condensation (Waterloop), combine modularity and high energy performance with ease of installation, maintaining the display capacity of refrigerated cabinets intact. The transcritical CO2 remote cabinets, now in their fourth generation, are an example of Epta's leadership in the natural refrigeration sector, ensuring an advanced level of sustainability.
During the fair Chillventa, Epta has presented a series of innovative products that represent the spearhead of its offer. Among the propane plug-ins, the model stands out Tango of the range slimfit, capable of reaching energy class A, with an energy saving of 40% compared to previous models. As regards the Propane integral, the models GranVista Integral Ultra e GranBering Integral Ultra of the line GranFit were exhibited with inverter compressors and a new hybrid defrost system, capable of reducing energy consumption by 30%. Furthermore, these solutions are also available in a Waterloop, which allows heat recovery for more efficient thermal management within the store.
For remote refrigeration, Epta has presented the model MD7 of the line Nordic Line, available in the glycol version. This solution has been designed to reduce the installation and channeling times of refrigerated counters, offering a practical and sustainable solution for the Hard Discount sector.
Innovation has always been at the heart of Epta's strategy, and Chillsale 2024, the brand confirmed its commitment with the presentation of new solutions in the field of modular refrigeration units. EptaTechnica introduced the ECO2Compact, a refrigeration unit that stands out for its compactness, efficiency and reliability. Designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, the ECO2Compacta is ideal for small spaces, thanks to a design studied to reduce the noise level and facilitate access for maintenance. The powers vary from 15 to 45 kW for medium temperature applications, and from 0 to 9 kW for low temperatures, making the unit versatile and suitable for multiple applications.
Finally, Epta presented an important innovation in the field of digital services, with the launch of theAPP SwitchON Tech. This application has been developed to support technicians in the maintenance of refrigerated cabinets, providing an intuitive interface that allows them to constantly monitor the operating parameters of the systems. The APP is available in six languages and represents a further tool to improve the operational efficiency of Epta's customers.
