In the year just ended Transgourmet Ibérica has significantly accelerated its growth plan in local retail, consolidating its presence in the region with the addition of 146 new supermarkets and the renovation of 82 existing stores. This expansion has strengthened the group's position in local and convenience retail, expanding its network to 15 Spanish autonomous communities and increasing access to essential services in numerous locations.

Specifically, the Suma brand has been a key driver of growth, with 28 new openings across the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Andalusia, the Valencian Community, the Canary Islands, Madrid, Aragon, Navarre, and La Rioja. Suma's growth is paralleled by that of the Spar brand, with four new supermarkets opened in the provinces of Barcelona and Girona, where Transgourmet holds the brand's management license.

A significant contribution also came from the partnership with Nudisco through the company Nuditrans, which led to the entry of 37 supermarkets, including six new openings between Alicante and Valencia.
The development plan also included the 40 stores in Mallorca resulting from the acquisition of the Moyà Saus group, strengthening the company's presence in the Balearic Islands. The package is completed by the 37 brands linked to the agreement with Llobet, a leading company in Central Catalonia, which has chosen Transgourmet as its main supplier.

Alongside the network expansion, the company has invested in the modernization of 82 existing stores, with targeted interventions to improve layout, functionality, and efficiency. The renovations aim to make the stores more attractive, optimizing the shopping experience and meeting the needs of both franchisees and end consumers.

Suma Fresh&Go also debuted during the year, a new convenience format designed to capture consumer habits increasingly oriented towards speed and ready-to-eat fresh products. According to Jordi Arredondo, Director of Retail, the growth confirms that local retail is at the heart of the group's strategy. "Every opening, every reform, and every alliance," he emphasized, "is a reflection of our desire to build a modern, competitive network capable of offering concrete solutions to the needs of every region."
