The Contribution of Carapelli Florence
Bruno Seabra, General Manager of Carapelli Firenze, highlighted the importance of sustainability in the company strategy. Carapelli has implemented a sustainability protocol in the production chain of Italian extra virgin olive oil and has launched numerous projects to raise awareness of the nutritional importance of olive oil. Among the most recent initiatives, the enhancement of the “ZERO Waste” certification of their production plant stands out, a goal also communicated on the packaging of the “Il Frantolio” product.
Carapelli Firenze continues to innovate also in the field of traceability, using technologies such as QR code and blockchain to ensure maximum transparency in the production chain and improve the accessibility of information for consumers.
Carapelli's commitment to sustainability also extends to supporting the ETS Foundation - Carapelli Nutritional Institute, which has been conducting scientific research on olive oil and its nutritional value for over 20 years. Recent studies by the Foundation have further confirmed the importance of olive oil for a healthy and sustainable diet.
