The Formento Group, a leading company in the production and slaughtering of beef in Piedmont, has made official the acquisition of the business branch of Carni Dock Srl, a historic Cuneo company specialized in the processing of pork and the production of cured meats and hams, including Cuneo DOP Ham.
The operation represents a crucial step for both companies: on the one hand, rebirth of Carni Dock, which between 2023 and 2024 had gone through a period of difficulty culminating in the opening of a negotiated settlement, and on the other hand the expansion of Formento's operational perimeter, which thus enters structurally into the pork and cured meats sector.
In November 2024 Carni Dock was entrusted to MEC through a business lease agreement, a process then consolidated within the simplified agreement Approved by the Cuneo Court in July 2025. This approval allowed the successful completion of the definitive transfer of the business to Formento.
