Food Tastes will be present in Alimentec 2026, one of the most important agri-food ferias in Latin America, which will be celebrated in Bogotá from 9 to 12 June 2026. The Sicilian company will receive international buyers, distributors and operators in the stand 14 – 14A, growing in Colombia on an industrial model specialized in premium sauces for pasta, pestos, sweet creams and Mediterranean specialties of high quality seasoned.

Participation in Food perfectly represents the internationalization process that Gustibus has been developing in recent years. The company, with production headquarters in Assoro, Sicily, is now one of the most interesting Italian companies within the international private label panorama, thanks to an industrial structure designed to meet the needs of the major global distribution channels.

The figures clearly reflect the size increased by the industrial project: more than 130 million euros in turnover by 2025, presence in more than 70 international markets, more than 130 collaborators, a production plant of 40.000 square meters integrated within a total surface exceeding 100.000 square meters more than 100 hectares of cultivated land.

However, probably the most relevant data is the international positioning of the company within large global distribution. Gustibus is the supplier of some of the main European and international retail channels: collaborates with the most important Italian discount chains, with the large German discounters present in Europe, with Mercadona in Spain and Portugal, with Walmart in United States and for several years it has been a D1 tester in Colombia, one of the most dynamic and aggressive discount chains on the Latin American market.

This level of international presence is not random. Beyond the growth of the company there is a very precise industrial vision: become a global reference in the premium pasta sauce market, through a production model capable of combining Italian authenticity, innovation, sustainability and maximum personalization of the offer.

Precisely Personalization is one of the elements that most differs from the taste of many other manufacturers in the sector. The company does not impose its recipes on the retailer, until it delivers designed products according to the specific needs of the final consumer and the local market. This means adapting formulas, textures, flavor profiles, ingredients and commercial positioning according to the strategies of each distribution chain. In a more fragmented and competitive global market, this coaching capability represents one of the company's main competitive factors.

At the same time, Gustibus has been building for years an extremely wide breadth of surface, which allows it to cover distinct segments of the market: from traditional Italian sauces for pasta to premium pestos, pistacho-based creams and regional Mediterranean specialties, including lines specifically designed for the international private brand.

The industrial growth of the company has also been accompanied by a important evolution in terms of ESG and product sustainability. Gustibus declares that it is constantly committed to the optimization of its production processes to reduce CO2 emissions and favor the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices throughout its entire ministerial cycle.

The environmental focus is not limited solely to industrial production. The company is based on the use of renewable energy, the reduction of waste, the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials and collaboration with researchers who share the same sustainable vision. Parallel, local agriculture and the protection of biodiversity are boosted, elements that now represent strategic assets, each of them most valued by large international retailers.

In addition to environmental sustainability, it also requires strong attention to the social impact of the company. Gustibus supports local and national initiatives oriented towards the good of the communities, participates in educational and training projects and collaborates with profit-making organizations to contribute to important social causes. A vision that interprets the food industry not only as a productive activity, but also as an actor capable of generating economic and social value.

The relationship model developed with other companies in the agri-food sector is equally interesting. The company promotes collaborations and strategic alliances by sharing know-how, industrial skills and production capabilities with the aim of promoting innovation and sustainable growth across the entire value chain.

In an international context where private brands continue to grow both in tough and emerging markets, the Gustibus case clearly demonstrates how Made in Italy can evolve further from the traditional concept of the premium product, transforming itself into a global industrial platform capable of developing quality, innovation, flexibility and customization for retailers around the world.

And we ask precisely this is the true evolution of the new Italian food industry: not simply exporting products, but exporting skills, industrial capacity, gastronomic culture and production models built according to the needs of global consumers.
