Gustibus Alimentari, a Sicilian company specializing in the production of ready-made sauces, pestos, and tomato preserves, has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, confirming its commitment to a responsible, innovative growth model fully aligned with international GRI and ESRS standards.
With a turnover of €100 million, over 130 employees and a presence in more than 70 markets, the company consolidates an ESG strategy based on three pillars: environment, people and territory.
On the environmental front, Gustibus has invested over €1 million in energy efficiency measures over the past five years, reducing consumption by 25%. The production site uses photovoltaic systems, cutting-edge technologies, and water treatment and reuse systems. Waste management is structured, with over 1.058 tons traced and separated in the past year.
For its people, the company created 17 new jobs in 2024, achieved 600 hours of training, and adopted policies on safety, human rights, and welfare. The average age of 30 to 50 confirms a young and qualified workforce.
In its relationship with the local community, Gustibus further strengthens its community role with €432.000 in donations and sponsorships for local social and cultural initiatives.
The governance fully integrates sustainability into business processes and benefits from a broad portfolio of international certifications, including IFS, BRC, ISO 9001, ISO 22005, RSPO, GLOBAL GAP, SA8000, and Rainforest Alliance.
"Our company is an asset to the region and a bridge between Sicily and the world," says owner Francesco Pecorino. "We are proud to bring products grown and processed in our facilities to the tables of many families."
With its 2024 Report, Gustibus Alimentari confirms an industrial vision in which quality, sustainability, and international competitiveness go hand in hand, strengthening the company's position among the leading Italian producers in the sector.
