Inalpi SpA has taken a strategic step in its ESG journey by obtaining Gender Equality System Certification in accordance with UNI/PdR 125:2022, the national standard that defines criteria and indicators to ensure equal opportunities in organizations.
For the Piedmontese company, active in the Italian dairy supply chain, this recognition represents an important step in the evolution of its organizational model and the creation of a fair, transparent, and meritocratic work environment.
"This achievement demonstrates our commitment to building an environment that fosters well-being, equality, and merit-based professional growth," stated President Ambrogio Invernizzi. "Certification is a starting point: our commitment is to consolidate inclusive practices, prevent all forms of discrimination, and promote a culture of diversity throughout the entire value chain."
UNI/PdR 125:2022 identifies six key areas on which companies must intervene to develop a truly inclusive management system.
This scope includes: corporate culture and strategy; governance and definition of dedicated roles; HR processes with transparent selection, career, and training criteria; growth and inclusion opportunities; pay equity through gender gap monitoring; parenting protections and work-life balance policies.
Inalpi's process involved multiple corporate functions, complemented by the Gender Equality Steering Committee, which was responsible for defining and evaluating improvement measures, from people management processes to welfare initiatives and professional development systems.
Although the number of certified Italian companies is still limited, the trend in membership is growing and reflects a structural evolution of HR policies geared toward social sustainability. For the agri-food sector in particular, gender equality is an increasingly important driver in relationships with stakeholders, large-scale retail trade, and international partners.
With this certification, Inalpi strengthens its position as a player committed to social responsibility and the development of human capital, elements now considered crucial to ensuring competitiveness, reputation, and long-term resilience.
