iN'S Mercato is expanding its network with two supermarkets opening on October 14th in Cerano, in the province of Novara, and Sospiro, in the province of Cremona. The openings are in Piedmont and Lombardy and add a total of 1.740 square meters of sales space to the Pam Group's network, which currently comprises over 580 stores in 12 Italian regions.
The two stores adopt the latest format standards, with functional spaces, private parking, and systems designed to reduce energy consumption. This project is part of the network's expansion and renewal program, through facilities that combine the retail offering with a greater focus on efficient building management.
In Cerano, the new supermarket has a sales area of 810 square meters and is located in an urban area characterized by the presence of residential and commercial businesses. Private parking completes the facility's amenities, while on the energy front, the store uses all-LED lighting and door-mounted refrigerated cabinets, a solution that limits cold air loss. The air conditioning systems use energy from renewable sources.
The Sospiro store, meanwhile, occupies 930 square meters of sales space, making it the larger of the two new structures. Located in a commercial setting, it also has private parking and the same energy-efficient features: LED lighting, walk-in refrigerators, and air conditioning powered by energy from renewable sources.
The two supermarkets share a common approach, aiming to make the spaces functional for customers and reduce the structures' energy requirements. Refrigeration, lighting, and air conditioning are the areas on which the solutions adopted in the new openings focus.
The assortment will be built around exclusive iN'S brands, with a complete grocery offering and a positioning based on quality and convenience. In the press release, the company also cites the recognition it has received for the third consecutive year from Altroconsumo, without providing further details on the survey.
The October 14th openings represent a new step in the brand's development, which has been present in Italy since 1994, when its first store opened in Veneto. Headquartered in Venice, the company has gradually expanded its presence throughout the country to its current network of over 580 stores.
In selecting its products, iN'S claims to emphasize Italian origins and tailor its offerings to consumer needs, focusing on freshness, taste, and well-being. With Cerano and Sospiro, the group strengthens its presence in two regions of Northern Italy, continuing a strategy that combines new openings, updated retail formats, and investments in supermarket efficiency.
