Frozen food giant Sammontana Italia is looking to expand into gelato and Italian-style pastries, with another acquisition planned for later this year. The company, formed from the merger of Sammontana and Forno d'Asolo, aims to double its revenue in five years through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Leonardo Bagnoli and Alessandro Angelon, respectively president and CEO, revealed the group's plans, which include the launch of the "Barattolino" in the United States and the expansion of the Bindi plant overseas. The strategy focuses on the enhancement of the group's seven brands and the optimization of the plants, with an eye on production and environmental efficiency.

Sammontana Italia, with a turnover of approximately 900 million euros and over two thousand employees, has six plants in Italy and two abroad. The group aims to strengthen its international presence, with particular attention to the markets of the United States, France and Germany.

Investindustrial, partner of Sammontana, sees strong growth potential in the frozen food sector, especially in foreign markets such as Asia and the Middle East. The company is preparing for new acquisitions, with the aim of creating value and consolidating its leading position in the sector.
