TUTTOFOOD 2026, which will be celebrated from 11 to 14 May in Milan, is preparing to welcome more than 100.000 professional visitors and consolidate itself as the main focal point of the food sector in southern Europe. In this edition, the Xunta de Galicia There will be a particularly relevant paper within the Spanish participation, which includes confirmed companies and four commercial promotion organizations. The Galician institutional presence demands project the image of Galicia as a reference of quality in the food sector, strengthening its position in a highly competitive global scenario.
The impulse that the Xunta brings to its productive tejido achieves special significance on a holiday that, in 2025, will attract ninety and five thousand professional visitors proceeding from more than one country and will reunite three thousand international buyers together with more than four thousand exhibiting companies. These figures, practically duplicated compared to previous editions, confirm the strategic weight of TUTTOFOOD as a platform that connects to producers, distributors and buyers from all continents.
The Galician participation is marked in an edition that includes one hundred confirmed exhibitors, three hundred international representatives and more than seventy countries. For the Xunta, it is an opportunity for positioning and opening new commercial channels. According to Ramón Damián Fernández Conchas, head of the Mercados service of the General Directorate of Fishing, Fishing and Technological Innovation, the presence in TUTTOFOOD means “opening doors to new customers and distributors, and at the same time consolidating the image of Galicia as a reference of quality in the sector food".
The fair continues to expand its international projection, partly thanks to the cooperation between Fiere di Parma and the international red of Koelnmesse, which alternates TUTTOFOOD with Anuga and contributes to placing the event within a global fair ecosystem. This alliance, in the words of Antonio Cellie, CEO of Fiere di Parma, has made the alternating calendar between Milan and Cologne a point of reference for international food leaders, creating a unique model in the European trade fair panorama.
The Spanish market is among the first to confirm participation, including Turkey, Poland, Greece and France, reinforcing the visibility of the country on the holiday. The incorporation of the Galician Council, jointly with FIAB, Castilla and León and the Vasco Government — which participates for the first time — amplified the institutional representation and strengthened the position of Spain in the distinct sectoral tables foreseen for 2026.
One of the fundamental elements of the next edition will be the Buyers Programme, organized in collaboration with ITA (Italian Trade Agency). This program will bring together more than three thousand carefully selected professionals, belonging to the main distribution chains, supermarkets, shopping operators, organized distribution groups and purchasing managers of the foodservice sector. We are looking forward to attracting buyers from Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, the ASEAN region, China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, with additional participation expected from Oceania, South Africa and Central Asia. For Spanish companies and, in particular, for Welsh companies, this context will allow a direct dialogue with key markets and privileged access to new business opportunities.
TUTTOFOOD 2026 will also present a renovated weekday design, more accessible and easier to use, with ninety thousand square meters distributed on these boards. The integration of Italian and international exhibitors in the same route will facilitate the exploration of categories that include milk, meats, frozen foods, seafood, proteins, fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, drinks, bread, coffee and confectionery. The spaces such as Mixology Experience, Tutto Fruit & Veg and the new TuttoBio area by Natexpo will also be strengthened, dedicated to ecological production and conceived as an organic international pabellon.
With this participation, the Xunta de Galicia seeks not only to strengthen the international projection of the Galician food sector, but also to develop its capacity to compete with quality proposals in the main European and global markets. TUTTOFOOD appears as a decisive platform to boost the visibility of the territory and to consolidate strategic alliances that can translate into the growth and opening of new commercial horizons.
