Starbucks kicked off Leadership Experience 2025 (LE25) in Las Vegas, the largest gathering in its history with more than 14.000 leaders from across North America. The event marks a pivotal moment in the company’s relaunch, led by Chairman and CEO Brian Niccol and COO Mike Grams. “Returning to Starbucks is about rediscovering what we’ve always been about: authentic hospitality and the finest coffee, hand-crafted by our baristas,” said Niccol.
Over three days, attendees will take part in workshops, executive meetings and the first-ever Global Barista Championship, designed to celebrate the craft and human connection that defines the Starbucks experience. Upcoming changes include a four-minute maximum wait time and the introduction of the new 1971 Roast™ blend.
The “Back to Starbucks” strategy, launched nine months ago, has already yielded positive results: lower turnover, higher employee satisfaction, and the return of small details that customers love, such as ceramic mugs and handwritten notes. 90% of future leaders will be chosen internally, to reinforce the company’s growth culture.
A commitment to sustainability is at the heart of the event, which is powered by 100% local renewable energy. Additionally, Starbucks will donate surplus food to charities, plant 10 trees for every attendee, and support social causes in Las Vegas with more than $100.000 in donations. “We are reigniting the soul of Starbucks, together,” Niccol concluded.
