Lidl Italy has opened its first supermarket in Casagiove, its seventh store in the city and province of Caserta. The opening, which marks a new milestone for the brand, has also brought new job opportunities: 13 new employees have been hired, joining the team of over 23.000 people already working for the company throughout Italy.
The new store is the result of an urban regeneration project that transformed the site occupied for over fifty years by the Giannetti furniture company into a modern, functional, and welcoming space. With a sales area of over 1.200 square meters, the building was designed to minimize environmental impact: rated A3 energy class, it is powered by 100% renewable sources and features a 155 kWp photovoltaic system. Thanks to an LED lighting system integrated with natural light, the supermarket can guarantee energy savings of up to 50% compared to traditional technologies. The outdoor spaces have also been designed with the community in mind, with 98 parking spaces available for customers and a playground for children.
Inside, the offerings focus on freshness and variety: fruits and vegetables delivered daily, a large bakery area with freshly baked bread and specialty baked goods, and a deli corner with ready-made meals. Ample space is also dedicated to the vegetarian and vegan products of the Vemondo line, certified by V-Label, which number over 70 items and are expanded with new options every week. The shopping experience is completed by Lidl Plus, the free app that offers personalized promotions and allows you to consult digital flyers at any time.
With this opening, Lidl confirms its local roots and its desire to combine convenience, quality, and sustainability, in line with a strategy that since 1992 has led to the creation of over 780 supermarkets in Italy, supplied daily by 12 logistics platforms.
