A new Interspar store has opened in Triggiano, inside the Bariblu shopping center. Management is entrusted to Maiora SpA – the Despar Centro Sud concessionaire – which with this operation consolidates its presence in the Bari area and continues the development plan launched in 2021.
The store employs over 40 people, including 30 former employees of the previous supermarket, which closed in recent months, who were hired on permanent contracts in June thanks to an agreement between the company, institutions, and unions. This move has helped safeguard jobs and ensure continuity of employment in an area severely affected by store closures.
The store features a modern and essential format: ten checkouts, five of which are self-service, and a range of traditional departments, from delicatessen to fishmonger, including fruit and vegetables, butcher, delicatessen, and wine.
Inside, there are themed areas designed for different consumer segments: ready-made meals for a quick snack, local products under the "Flavors of the Territory" label, and organic and healthy options under the "Vie del Benessere" label. There's also a refreshment area for on-site dining.
Alongside its retail offerings, Maiora has introduced environmental measures, such as LED lighting and energy-saving refrigerated cabinets. The Bariblu location, with ample parking, aims to capture the shopping center's customer flows and make the new Interspar a hub for everyday shopping. "We believe that a company's value," commented CEO Pippo Cannillo, "is also measured by its ability to generate a positive impact on the community."
