Mondelez International reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable growth and long-term value creation at the CAGNY 2025 conference. CEO Dirk Van de Put and CFO Luca Zaramella highlighted the portfolio transformation and the strengthening of leadership in key sectors, with a particular focus on the growing cakes and pastries market.
Despite rising cocoa costs, Mondelez reported organic growth of 4,3% in 2024, demonstrating the resilience of its brands in the sweet snacks segment. The cakes and pastries division, currently third in global market share, is set to accelerate further thanks to targeted acquisition strategies and investments in marketing and distribution.
The company reaffirmed its focus on four strategic pillars: strengthening its presence in core sectors (chocolate, biscuits and baked snacks), effectively managing raw material costs, expanding in the $97 billion bakery market and optimising liquidity to finance new acquisitions and ensure financial flexibility. With a portfolio of iconic brands such as Oreo, Cadbury and Milka, Mondelez is positioned as a leader in the evolution of snacking consumption, focusing on innovation and sustainable growth.
