Monini renews its top management to respond to the evolutions of the sector and the market. Umberto Villa becomes General Manager, succeeding Riccardo Cereda, while Loreto Angelucci takes on the role of Commercial Director. Both will report to the President and CEO, Zefferino Monini.
Villa, born in 1970, graduated from Luiss with an Executive MBA from Bologna Business School, has over 25 years of experience in the food sector, with a focus on olive oil. As Foreign Manager, he led the creation of commercial branches and the international expansion of the brand. Angelucci, born in 1972, graduated from Luiss with an MBA from SDA Bocconi, worked for years at Barilla and Pladis Global, developing skills in marketing and sales.
Despite 2023 being a complex year, Monini recorded a turnover of 195 million euros, up compared to 2022. The performance was brilliant in foreign markets and in the 100% Italian segment. Zefferino Monini expressed satisfaction with the arrival of the two managers, highlighting their key role in addressing the challenges of a dynamic market. The company remains focused on rigor, flexibility and resilience, aiming to enhance Made in Italy in the agri-food and olive oil sectors.
