Nescafé Dolce Gusto is expanding its beverage range with the addition of Orzoro, the iconic barley-based drink now available in capsule form in the brand's multi-beverage system. The goal is to address new consumer habits, which increasingly focus on breaks spread throughout the day and are no longer limited to the traditional cup of coffee. This offering reflects growing interest in alternatives to caffeinated beverages, suitable for a variety of consumption occasions. Thanks to its balanced, roasted flavor and natural caffeine-free nature, Orzoro is a versatile solution, suitable from breakfast to dinner.

This new product further expands the Nescafé Dolce Gusto system, offering a beverage that combines tradition and convenience. Capsule preparation allows for a quick hot beverage while maintaining the distinctive flavor that has made Orzoro a recognizable brand for generations of consumers. Orzoro's history dates back to 1940, when it was created as an alternative to coffee. Over the decades, the product has become a permanent fixture in Italian homes, becoming part of daily habits and gradually expanding its role beyond breakfast.

A significant milestone in the brand's growth occurred in 1974 with its entry into the Nestlé Group, which helped consolidate its presence in the Italian market and its connection with families. Today, the brand continues to evolve, adapting to changing consumption patterns and consumer demands for convenience. With the introduction of Orzoro in the Nescafé Dolce Gusto system, the break becomes a more flexible and customizable experience, capable of accommodating different rhythms and lifestyles. This offering enhances a long-standing tradition through a contemporary and easy-to-use format.

Nescafé Dolce Gusto Orzoro is available in a 16-capsule format, with a suggested retail price of €5,89. The launch also confirms the innovation strategy of the Nestlé Group, which has been present in Italy for over 110 years and operates across numerous product categories with a portfolio of over 90 brands, including Nescafé, Nespresso, Perugina, Baci Perugina, Purina, Levissima, and Sanpellegrino.
