Also this year the OP Consorzio Funghi di Treviso has chosen to participate in Macfrut, a national and international reference fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, which took place from 8 to 10 May in Rimini. On the occasion of this prestigious event, the Treviso PO announced its membership in “Paniere zero rifiuti", a project that aims to give an innovation boost to the fruit and vegetable sector of large-scale retail trade, creating islands – destined to become increasingly larger and more varied – of products that have zero residue in common, in line with the growing market demand for genuine products, with a short and controlled supply chain and increasingly “natural”.
At the moment, Paniere Zero Residui includes 14 product families that are the protagonists of the fruit and vegetable section, from mushrooms to salads, from edible flowers to berries. The network of companies participating in the project aims to aggregate the offer, offering retail a dedicated area in the point of sale where the consumer can find all the references with the unique Paniere Zero brand.
Always a recognized expert in mushrooms, the OP Consorzio Funghi di Treviso, thanks to a deep know-how in the sector, continues its evolution, managing to innovate even apparently simple products, but rich in beneficial properties and very versatile in the kitchen. In this way, it satisfies the needs of the growing number of consumers aware of the role that a genuine diet has on well-being.
By joining the “Zero Residue Basket” project, the Treviso PO strengthens its commitment on this front. It is precisely from the interest in this area that the “Zero Residues”, which has grown over time and today includes four references: Pleurotus ostreatus, Champignon Bianco whole and sliced, Cream and Portobello Mushrooms. The OP Consorzio Funghi di Treviso has worked to acquire the important certification Zero Residue, issued by the CSQA certification body to products that guarantee Zero Residue, with respect to the limit of 0,01 mg/Kg, for pesticides permitted on the crop (CSQA DTP 021 Cert. n. 23765). Those of the Treviso OP are the first CSQA certified zero residue mushrooms in Italy.
The logic of "network" and sharing has always been part of the Treviso OP, which has a cooperative nature: the choice to join the Basket is the result of the same commitment to join forces for a common goal, which is to contribute to create a new market segment, even redefining the layout of the department in a more modern and current logic.
