Albertsons Companies closed the third quarter of 2025 with growing revenues and a strong acceleration in digital, confirming the business's resilience despite margin pressures and a challenging macroeconomic environment. The quarter ended November 29, 2025. Net revenues reached $19,12 billion, up 1,9% compared to $18,77 billion in the same period in 2024. Performance was driven by comparable sales (+2,4%), driven primarily by pharmacy.

The online channel performed strongly: digital sales grew 21%, confirming the central role of investments in technology and artificial intelligence. At the same time, loyalty program members increased 12% to 49,8 million. On the profitability front, net income stood at $293 million, equal to $0,55 per share, down from $400,6 million in 2024, which benefited from one-off tax effects. Adjusted net income was $390 million, or $0,72 per share.

Adjusted EBITDA reached $1,039 billion, equal to 5,4% of revenue, slightly down from 5,7% the previous year. Gross margin fell to 27,4% (from 27,9%), impacted by higher delivery costs related to e-commerce and the more pharmacy-oriented mix. Selling and administrative expenses improved, falling to 24,9% of revenue (from 25,1%), thanks to productivity initiatives that partially offset inflation and wage increases.

On the investment front, Albertsons allocated $1,41 billion to capital expenditures in the first 40 weeks of 2025, completing 74 renovations, opening five new stores, and strengthening its digital platforms. Shareholder remuneration also continues: the quarterly dividend of $0,15 per share was confirmed, with a new payment scheduled for February 6, 2026. At the same time, the group invested $1,36 billion in share buybacks as part of a $2,75 billion program, including an accelerated $750 million buyback. For the full year 2025, Albertsons expects like-for-like sales growth of between 2,2% and 2,5% and adjusted EBITDA of between $3,83 billion and $3,88 billion, confirming a strategy focused on digital, pharmacy, and operational efficiency.
